Maximum quantity restrictions for groups of customers

Hello,
I have some questions about the "Prestashop Maximum product quantity" module.
Does the restriction only applies to the customer group : if one customer in the "xxx" group makes an order that reaches the quantity limit of a product, will an other customer in the same group be able to order the same product ?
Is the previously placed orders history is global or user based for the application of the quantity limit ?
What does the "Date breakpoint" option is refering to ? A customer group or a specific user ?

Maximum product quantity limits defined in the module are for customers that are associated with selected group(s) of customers.

If you will set the maximum quantity limit for product "t-shirt" to 10 and define this restriction for group of customers "XXX" then each user from this group will have own quantity limit.

Firstly I need to distinct two "maximium quantity" types that module supports. You can use both of them at the same time, or only one of them - depending on your requirements. History of placed orders is applicable only to second type. So, the "maximum quantity" types are:

1. maximum quantity of product that customer can put to cart (current order)
   This kind of maximum quantity limit is applicable to cart and it counts product's quantity that customer has in cart
2. maximum quantity of product that customer can order (current order + orders placed in the past)
   This kind of maximum quantity limit is applicable to cart and it counts all previously purchased quantity of product + current quantity of product in cart

Answering to your question:

- all maximum quantity limits are user based. Each customer has own limit.

What does the "Date breakpoint" option is refering to ? A customer group or a specific user ?

Date breakpoint is for second type of quantity limit. If you will set "date breakpoint" to - for example - last year orders, module will count how many items customer purchased for all orders placed in last year. All orders placed more than 1 year ago will not be used to calculate the number of purchased items. All limits are user based limits so in this case date breakpoint is applicable also to customer.
